REQUIREMENTS:

Typically brings 15+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, or operations leadership, ideally within a regulated utility or capital-intensive environment.
Ten (10) or more years of executive or senior‑level leadership experience, with a proven ability to lead through complexity and change.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Master’s degree is considered an asset.
Proven track record of delivering measurable enterprise outcomes, including cost optimization, supply chain performance, capital program enablement, and risk mitigation.
Experience supporting large-scale capital programs and emergency response operations.
Strong financial, commercial, and regulatory acumen, including familiarity with the Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act.
Demonstrated ability to influence at the executive level and engage effectively with Boards through clear, credible, and data-driven communication.

The Capital and Maintenance Program Analyst is responsible for the effective business operations associated with Toronto Hydro-Electric Systems Limited (THESL) Capital program. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Capital Projects, the Manager, Project Execution is responsible for the day-to-day, end-to-end delivery of an outsourced portfolio of the organization’s capital, maintenance, and externally initiated programs. This includes providing technical review, guidance and management of Electrical and Civil projects and programs using selected vendors through all phases of the project or program delivery to ensure on-time and on-budget completion of assigned work program in compliance with approved Toronto Hydro standards, procedures, and commitments. The incumbent is responsible for supervising a team of professional and technical resources (internal and external) including providing coaching, feedback and mentoring on organizational processes and procedures.

Provide technical expertise and demonstrates ability to review engineering drawings related to utility infrastructure, road restoration and construction project cost estimation.

The Asset Investment Analyst is responsible for data management, data analytics, reviewing offer to connect document, and building non-binding estimates for customers. Role Title: Manager, Engineering (Non-Wire Alternatives)

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Grid Transformation & Innovation, the Manager, Engineering (NWA) is responsible for developing and executing programs and plans related to Non-Wires Alternatives (NWA), including energy storage and demand response. The successful candidate will evaluate demand-side measures or technology options as alternatives to traditional “poles and wires” investments, and develop strategies, plans and expertise to deploy NWA in Toronto Hydro’s distribution system. The successful candidate will also supervise planning, pre-design, and execution of battery energy storage projects (BESS), including the development of asset management plans as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages a team of technical professionals and students, including engineers, to build technical knowledge and expertise, and develop and execute short term and long-term investment strategies and plans for non-wires alternatives (NWA) and battery energy storage (BESS) in support of the Capacity Planning team at Toronto Hydro
Conducts research, studies and technical and business analyses on NWA technologies and applications, and develops options for NWA, with particular emphasis on energy storage, Distributed Energy Resources (DERs), and Local Demand Response (LDR)
Delivers NWA and BESS investment plans and works closely with operations teams to execute plans

Role Title: Manager, Engineering (Long-term Grid Planning)

Reporting to the Director of Investment Planning, the Manager Engineering, Long-term Grid Planning provides technical leadership and oversight to planning staff and consultants, ensuring that planning recommendations are supported by sound engineering analysis, risk-based decision-making, and industry best practices.

The Manager, Long-Term Grid Planning, is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the utility’s system distribution system planning activities to ensure the safe, reliable, sustainable and cost-effective delivery of electricity services to customers in the city of Toronto. The role leads the assessment of future system needs through load forecasting, capacity planning, asset investment planning, grid modernization, and electrification readiness.
