Centre of Excellence Supervisor

The Centre of Excellence (CoE) Supervisor provides strategic leadership to overall SAP Centre of Excellence (CoE) related activities by promoting collaboration between business and Information Technology (IT) stakeholders to align requirements and develop the future sate vision for the system, including the development and management of the SAP roadmap.  The Supervisor is responsible for enterprise-wide SAP asset lifecycle planning and management to optimize the organization’s investment and realize the full value and productivity of the system. 




  • Supervise a team to manage the processes and procedures to support the organizations SAP suite of systems.
  • Provide guidance to support the development of business cases to further operational needs and advance productivity and the investment in the SAP suite of products.
  • Facilitate the prioritization of the improvement portfolio, and overall management and sustainability of the SAP suite of applications.
  • Participates in working groups and steering committees as required.
  • Develop, manage and execute on the SAP roadmap and develop and enhance the system to increase business value.
  • Identify and manage the SAP CoE resource requirements and works closely with the lines of business to proactively identify and discuss SAP leading practices, pain points and future needs.
  • Engage the business in process mapping/re-engineering activities for SAP system purposes and maintain up to date process documentation as required.
  • Liaise with  stakeholders to ensure data management and business intelligence (reporting) is meeting the needs of the business.
  • Continuously improve business intelligence reporting function of the SAP suite of products to increase organizational efficiency and realize cost savings.



  • University Degree (Business or Computer Science preferred).
  • Master’s Level Education preferred (e.g. MBA).                            
  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years professional experience  in the area of technology implementation and systems development.
  • Experience with management control and reporting systems and setting, monitoring and reporting on performance metrics and/or key performance indicators.
  • Knowledge of SAP suite of systems.
  • Three (3) or more years project leadership experience; direct supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Professional experience in facilitation and presentation with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fully proficient in use of MS Office, MS Project, MS Visio and other project management tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple work groups; well-developed stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong leaderships skills; acts as a  resource and coach; recognizes personal development and a strong organizational culture as integral components of an effective organization.
  • Invests in innovation, continuous improvement and productivity of long-term sustainability.
  • Clear sense of corporate direction and expectations, and holds self and others accountable to achieve objectives.
