Payroll & Disbursements Analyst

Reporting to the Supervisor, Payroll & Disbursements, the Payroll & Disbursements Analyst (Payroll) will be responsible for the accurate, timely and compliant processing of payroll, pension reporting, year-end activities, statutory and third party remittances, as well as internal and external reporting.






  • Minimum of five years’ full cycle payroll experience in a medium to large organization
  • Accurate preparation of bi-weekly payrolls, compliant with company policy and legislative requirements
  • Proficient in month-end and year-end procedures, as they relate to payroll
  • Experience with collective agreements and their interpretation
  • Experience with HCM processes as they relate to payroll
  • Up-to-date on current federal and provincial government laws and legislation
  • Compliant with Internal and External Audits
  • Champions positive working relationships, with peers and internal/external business partners, at all levels
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with SAP and ADP platforms
  • Experience with the administration of the OMERS Pension Plan is considered an asset
  • Collaborative, results-oriented, and adaptable to change
  • Self-motivated and seeks out improvement opportunities
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Willing to provide coverage in other areas within Payroll & Disbursements
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills for reporting





  • PCP or CPM designation and in good standing with the Canadian Payroll Association
  • Completion of a Degree in Business or a relevant Degree
