The Operation Support Services Analyst provides support in the effective business operations within the Fleet Services department. Responsibilities include; data gathering and clean-up, data analysis, identifying gap/variance/trend, conducting research and preparing reports, leading or supporting department projects and programs and providing recommendations against findings to support departmental performance objectives. Additionally, the role provides support to leaders in the day-to-day operations of the group.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyzes operational data and functional problems to identify opportunities and implement or recommend process improvements, system rules, and validations
- Lead and/or support assigned departmental projects and capital programs, including conducting research on best practices, performing quantitative and qualitative analysis, provide recommendations, engaging stakeholders and managing projects through to implementation and post-evaluation
- Ensures a high degree of data integrity through control and audit of processes and procedures used to capture, validate, and estimate data
- Assist in the identification, creation, development and maintenance of business and system process flows; develop governing performance standards as well as training material relevant to the process
- Identify gaps and provide sustainable options for continuous business improvement associated with the department; continuously seek process and business improvements and provide recommendations
- Maintain and ensure accuracy of Warehouse Fleet Management systems/database and alignment with the ERP system.
- Support testing and implementation of various system enhancements in SAP
- Provides business analysis, project definition and scope, feasibility studies and cost benefits analysis
- Assist in the preparation of operational budgets, accruals, forecasts, and reporting and tracking of metrics and scorecards
- Support Grid Emergency Management as it relates to Operation Support Services team
- Performs additional duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Three (3) plus years professional experience in fleet service, project management, business case development and/or technology piloting and implementation
- Three - Five (3 - 5) years of experience in one or more areas of Fleet Management or Asset Management.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset
- Advanced knowledge of data analysis tools including but not limited to Excel, Alteryx, Power Pivot, BI Cubes, SAP
- Knowledge and experience with managing and analyzing complex data
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, including ability to determine root causes and develop recommended solutions
- Good understanding of business issues and challenges, specifically in a customer service and operations environment
- Knowledge of Alteryx, Tableau, is an asset
- Six Sigma or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset
- Excellent computer skills with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Visio & PowerPoint); ability to build and automate reports and use statistical methodologies for tracking performance or building models
- Demonstrated experience in compiling and presenting reports with acute attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

This position is based in a hybrid environment allowing for remote work two days per week, based on business needs. Employees will be required to come onsite Tuesday to Thursday. You are expected to live in Ontario and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.
