WORK ILLUSTRATION:
Reporting to the Director, Culture, Change, and Learning, the Manager, Culture & Change plays a critical leadership role in advancing the organization's culture, transformation, and Diversity & Inclusion priorities. Leading a team of change management professionals, this position is responsible for driving enterprise wide culture, change, engagement, inclusion, and leadership development initiatives that support the organization's strategic objectives and transformation journey.
As a trusted advisor and strategic partner, the Manager leads the planning, execution, and sustainment of complex organizational, cultural, and digital transformation initiatives. Leveraging strong change management expertise, the incumbent translates established methodologies into practical solutions that build organizational readiness, foster employee engagement, and support the successful adoption of new ways of working.
The Manager leads multiple concurrent projects while coaching and developing a diverse team of professionals with varying levels of change and project management expertise. Through collaboration with multiple teams and stakeholders, the Manager builds strong relationships, influences decision making, and helps create a high performing, inclusive, and future ready workplace.
This role is instrumental in advancing leadership development programming, establishing and implementing culture and inclusion initiatives, and ensuring employees and leaders are equipped to navigate change successfully. The ideal candidate brings strong experience managing teams, stakeholders, and enterprise wide transformation initiatives, along with the ability to lead through influence and deliver results in a dynamic environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and deliver change management services for enterprise and project initiatives, including change strategy, stakeholder engagement, impact assessment, readiness planning, resistance management, adoption, and sustainment activities.
- Provide expert advisory support to leaders, sponsors, and project teams, building change leadership capability, organizational readiness, and stakeholder alignment to successfully implement and sustain cultural, organizational, process, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of culture, engagement, inclusion, and employee experience initiatives that support organizational priorities and advance enterprise culture objectives.
- Collaborate with leaders and business units to translate employee feedback, engagement results, and culture insights into meaningful strategies and action plans that strengthen organizational effectiveness and employee experience.
- Lead and develop a high-performing Culture and Change team, fostering capability, accountability, inclusion, continuous learning, and exceptional client service while ensuring effective workforce planning and resource management.
- Develop, monitor, and report on key measures related to change readiness, stakeholder engagement, adoption, resistance management, sustainment, culture, and employee engagement, providing insights and recommendations to leaders.
- Drive continuous improvement by evaluating program effectiveness, identifying emerging trends and lessons learned, and enhancing change management methodologies, tools, templates, and practices to strengthen organizational capability.
REQUIREMENTS:
- University degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, Communications, Psychology, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in change management, organizational development, culture, engagement, internal consulting, or a related HR/people disciplines.
- 3–5 years of people leadership, and/or project leadership experience.
- Prosci Change Management Certification or equivalent designation is considered an asset.
- The successful candidate will be required to travel regularly between Toronto Hydro locations.
- Demonstrated experience leading medium to large scale organizational, cultural, process, technology, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience developing and implementing change strategies, stakeholder engagement plans, impact assessments, readiness activities, adoption approaches, and sustainment plans.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships and influence leaders, sponsors, project teams, and business partners.
- Strong knowledge of change management principles, stakeholder engagement, culture activation, employee experience, adoption planning, and organizational readiness.
- Strong consulting, facilitation, coaching, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to support leaders and teams through complex organizational change.
- Ability to translate strategy into actionable plans, stakeholder engagement strategies, and measurable business outcomes.
- Strong people leadership and workload management capability, including experience coaching and developing teams with varying levels of change and project management expertise.
- Sound judgment, adaptability, and ability to work in a complex, fast paced environment.

This position is based in a hybrid environment allowing for remote work two days per week, based on business needs. Employees will be required to come onsite Tuesday to Thursday. You are expected to live in Ontario and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.
