Reporting to the Senior Manager, Compensation and Benefits, the Human Resources Analyst is responsible for supporting various total rewards programs including analyzing compensation and benefits data and supporting employee engagement with benefits programs and initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports and collaborates with the team on various total rewards programs, to help ensure the delivery of quality programs and continuous process improvement
- Analyzes, reports and recommends actions based on compensation and benefits data
- Prepares submissions for market data surveys and analyzes results to support a market-competitive job evaluation process
- Works collaboratively with the team on the annual compensation review cycle.
- Supports processes and initiatives for employee benefits engagement and program governance
- Addresses inquiries related to employee and retiree benefits, including working with other team members and the benefits provider on resolution of escalated issues, and providing guidance and training for co-op students
- Tests system enhancements and updates for the compensation and benefits sections of the SuccessFactors Human Resources Information System. Supports systems data management including job evaluation data.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business, Science, Social Sciences or other related discipline.
- One (1) to three (3) years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Human Resources programs, systems and processes with an understanding of compensation and/or benefits programs.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to ensure quality while meeting deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer-oriented with ability to handle difficult customer situations. Customer service experience an asset.
- Demonstrates a positive learning attitude, and responds well to constructive feedback.
- Works effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment. Takes initiative to identify solutions to problems and improve systems and processes, and escalates concerns appropriately.
- Good problem solving and analytical skills. Detail-oriented with strong numbers acumen. Experience analyzing and summarizing large amounts of data preferred.
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, PIVOT TABLES, IF STATEMENTS). Experience with HRIS systems preferred.
- Working towards CHRP/CHRL (Certified Human Resources Professional or Certified Human Resources Leader) and/or CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or other relevant professional designation considered an asset
Toronto Hydro has introduced a Hybrid Work Arrangement. This position allows for remote work up to three days per week, based on business needs. Employees will be required to come onsite on those days when they are involved in activities that they or their leader feel are better conducted in person. You are expected to live in Ontario and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.
