The Executive Office Lead plays a central role advancing the priorities of the Chief Customer Officer (COO), combining high‑level executive support with strategic and operational coordination to strengthen the impact of the CCO’s office and the Customer Experience & Public Affairs (CEPA) organization. Operating in a fast-paced executive office, this role helps translate the CCO’s agenda into action by maintaining focus, momentum and clear alignment across teams. Working closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders across the organization, the role supports clear communication, strong alignment and seamless execution of initiatives that shape the customer experience and communication channels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Acts as the central coordination point for the CCO and Customer Experience & Public Affairs (CEPA) leadership team, overseeing calendar management, correspondence, travel, and the preparation of high‑quality briefing materials, presentations and insights for internal and external engagements.
- Designs and implements frameworks and tools to track priorities, supports and strengthen team effectiveness while keeping key commitments on track.
- Applies strategic thinking and judgement when handling complex or sensitive matters with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Optimize CCO’s time and focus by proactively managing priorities, preparing materials and anticipating emerging needs.
- Coordinates the development and execution of action plans that support business goals, ensuring the right information and context are available for informed executive decision making.
- Monitors progress against priorities, identifies potential barriers, recommends adjustments to maintain momentum, and ensures deliverables requested by the CCO or leaders are completed in a timely and organized manner.
- Recommends enhancements to programs, procedures, or tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of organizational operations.
- Conducts and synthesizes information from multiple sources to provide clear insights and recommendations that support proactive planning and decision making for the CCO
- Coordinates a seamless cadence of the division’s meetings by partnering with leaders and cross‑functional stakeholders to gather inputs, prepare materials, track progress, and maintain accountability for deliverables.
- Aligns materials and messaging with Toronto Hydro’s brand standards and “one voice” approach, partnering with Public Affairs & Marketing on stakeholder or issues‑related communications when required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree (Business administration, Communications, Public Administration preferred), or a related field
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a strategic, analytical, or operational support role such as strategy consulting, public affairs, business intelligence or a similar discipline. A combination of education and related experience may be considered.
- Experience providing senior/executive level client support, ideally in a related, complex or fast paced environment.
- Strong organizational and operational coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, priorities and shifting demands.
- Excellent attention to details with the ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable insights, detailed requirements and tangible outcomes
- Proactive mindset with strong problem solving/analytical skills to apply sound judgment in complex or sensitive situations
- High level of discretion, judgment and professionalism in working with senior leaders and sensitive information
- Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear, concise executive materials
- Strong relationship building and facilitation skills, with the ability to coordinate inputs, align diverse perspectives, and support effective decision-making.
- Demonstrated interpersonal effectiveness, professionalism, and customer‑focused behaviour.
- Creative and innovative thinking to support process improvements and solve operational challenges.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other productivity tools.
- Experience using Diligent Board Books and related executive‑level IT systems.

This position is based in a hybrid environment allowing for remote work two days per week, based on business needs. Employees will be required to come onsite Tuesday to Thursday. You are expected to live in Ontario and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.
