The salary range shown above reflects the expected  compensation for this position. The final salary offered will be determined based on a holistic assessment of the candidate’s experience, education, training, and alignment with the role’s requirements. For positions covered by a collective agreement, placement within the range will follow the applicable step or classification.

As Director, CEO Office, you will be a highly trusted advisor and strategic thought partner, helping turn vision into execution while driving organizational clarity, momentum and alignment. You will support enterprise‑level decision‑making, advancing complex cross‑functional initiatives and maintain executive alignment and focus on critical outcomes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Act as a trusted advisor and strategic thought partner to the President & CEO, shaping priorities, anticipating needs, and driving alignment across the executive leadership team.
  • Translate enterprise strategy and CEO priorities into executable plans, tracking progress, enforcing accountability, and ensuring disciplined follow‑through on critical commitments.
  • Lead and orchestrate high‑impact, cross‑functional initiatives and special projects on behalf of the CEO, bringing structure and clarity to complex issues.
  • Enable executive and board‑level decision‑making through insightful analysis, integrated reporting and clear executive briefings.
  • Anticipate enterprise‑level risks, dependencies, and emerging issues, identify risks, barriers and emerging issues requiring executive attention and facilitate timely resolution.
  • Coordinate preparation for executive forums and Board meetings, including briefing materials, messaging and stakeholder alignment.
  • Represent the CEO with credibility and judgment at internal and external meetings, communications and engagements, as required.
  • Proactively manage the CEO’s agenda, priorities and key commitments to maximize strategic focus, effectiveness and organizational impact.
  • Foster strong collaboration across senior leadership and enhance organizational effectiveness through improved processes, governance and use of emerging technologies.
  • Translate enterprise strategy and CEO priorities into actionable plans, overseeing progress and reinforcing accountability on key commitments.
  • Lead high‑impact, cross‑functional initiatives and special projects on behalf of the CEO, bringing structure and clarity to complex issues.
  • Support executive and board‑level decision‑making through insightful analysis, integrated reporting and clear executive briefings.
  • Proactively identify risks, barriers and emerging issues requiring executive attention and facilitate timely resolution.
  • Prepare and as required, represent the CEO at internal and external communications, meetings and engagements.
  • Proactively manage the CEO’s agenda, priorities and key commitments to maximize strategic focus, effectiveness and organizational impact.
  • Strengthen enterprise effectiveness by fostering collaboration across senior leadership and advancing improvements in governance, processes and the strategic use of digital and emerging technologies.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Progressive experience in strategy, corporate governance, executive operations, management consulting or senior advisory roles supporting C‑suite leaders.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering directly with a President and CEO or executive leadership team to shape priorities, inform decisions and drive enterprise execution.
  • Undergraduate/Master’s degree in Business, Communications or Engineering (or related field of study). A combination of education and related experience may be considered.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders, challenge assumptions constructively and align diverse stakeholders around shared outcomes.
  • Strong strategic mindset with the ability to translate complex, enterprise‑level objectives into clear plans, measurable results and accountable ownership.
  • Track record of leading high‑impact, cross‑functional initiatives in complex, fast‑moving and ambiguous environments.
  • Exceptional executive‑level communication and synthesis skills, including preparation of briefings, presentations and materials for executive and Board forums.
  • Sound judgment and political acuity, with the discretion and professionalism required to operate in the CEO’s inner circle.
  • Highly organized, execution‑focused and proactive, with the ability to manage competing priorities, anticipate executive needs and enable effective decision‑making.
  • Strong analytical capability, able to distill large volumes of information into concise, decision‑ready insights.
  • Experience strengthening organizational effectiveness, governance, or operating rhythm, including use of data, dashboards and emerging technologies such as AI, is an asset.

This position is based in a hybrid environment allowing for remote work two days per week, based on business needs. Employees will be required to come onsite Tuesday to Thursday. You are expected to live in Ontario and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.
