WHAT WE DO

Toronto Hydro plays an important role in Ontario’s electricity system. We’re responsible for delivering electricity to our almost 800,000 customers in Canada’s largest city. A leader in conservation and demand management, we distribute approximately 19% of the electricity consumed in the province.

Through planned investments in neighbourhoods throughout the city, we are working hard to ensure reliable service for our customers as we work to upgrade our aging grid. We’re focused on sustainability – both in our own operations and by giving our customers the tools and tips they need to reduce their electricity usage – and on innovation.
